Turn off cell phones & electronic devices
- The only permitted BYOD items are Laptops and tablets with a keyboard.
- Not having a device during class does not mean you “can work on it when you get home”.
- Cell Phones should be turned off and invisible during the class period. If I see or hear your phone it will be taken away and given to an administrator. Refusal to turn over the cell phone will be treated as insubordinate behavior.
- You have 90 seconds to be seated in your assigned desk or you will be marked tardy.
- Please remain in your seat until I have dismissed you. Never line up at the door awaiting the bell. Remember, I dismiss you, not the bell.
- Plagiarism (copying work from another source without giving proper credit) is completely unacceptable. If you plagiarize on any assignment you will earn a “1” on that assignment with no opportunity to re-do the work for credit. You will also be referred to the DP Coordinator and administration.
- Understand the difference between collaboration and collusion.
- I’m better at detecting plagiarism than you are at cheating. Remember that.
- Write your Name, Class, Due Date and Assignment (N/C/DD/A) on all assignments in the upper right hand corner. Failure to follow this format results in a 10% penalty.
- Please complete the reading prior to the week it is assigned.

- Familiarize yourself with the subject guide and grading descriptors located in your classroom Google Drive folder. The subject guides are your ally; failure to follow rules outlined in the subject guide will be your responsibility.
- Being able to access the proper websites is required.
- You have 7 days (unless otherwise notified) to complete any work you may have missed.
- I do not allow makeup work without a valid reason, and I do not give extra credit.
- The DP/IGCSE Coordinator must approve all absences. Work missed due to an unexcused absence will be treated as a missing assignment.
- All written assignments that are to be turned in must be completed on lined A4 paper. I will not accept any other sized paper.
- Blue or black ink or pencil only. A highlighter, binder, and planner are all highly recommended, although the vast majority of handouts, notes, revision materials will be distributed online.
